Docs/Reputation/How review ratings are routed

How review ratings are routed

Happy clients are sent to your Google review page; unhappy ones leave private feedback instead.

What it is

Each review request links to a public page, with the address ending in /review followed by a private code. The page asks the client how their experience with your firm was and routes them based on the star rating, so nothing negative reaches your public review page.

What the client sees

  • The page title reads "How was your experience with <your firm>?" and asks them to tap a star from 1 to 5.
  • No sign-in is needed.
  • A rating at or above your threshold takes them straight to your Google review link.
  • A lower rating shows a private box: "What could we have done better?" with a "Send feedback" button, then a thank-you message.
  • A request can only be answered once. Opening it again after completion shows the thank-you message.

The rating threshold

  • The default is 4 stars and up.
  • Change it at Settings → Firm letterhead, in "Minimum rating that redirects to the review link". Choices are 3, 4 or 5 stars and up.
  • The setting appears once a Google review link has been saved.

Where feedback goes

Private feedback and the rating appear in Reputation against that client's request, in the Rating and Feedback columns. Ratings at or above the threshold are marked as sent to your review page, but what the client then writes on Google is not visible in Oris Work.

Limitations

  • If no Google review link is saved, a high rating completes with nowhere to redirect. Set the link first.
  • The page is public and rate limited. Do not post the link on social media; it is meant for one client.
  • You cannot reply to private feedback from this page; follow up with the client through your usual channel.

Common problems

  • Page says the review link is not available: the link is wrong or incomplete. Resend a fresh request.
  • Client says they already rated: the request is completed and cannot be changed.
  • Clients land on the wrong Google page: correct the link at Settings → Firm letterhead.
